The Gains from Training

Source: Date:2011-12-02

I am a college intern who came to Zhongchen Company for an internship in March this year. Shortly after I arrived, the Human Resources Department organized a meticulously planned training program in Mechanical Drawing to enhance the new employees' ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings through a combination of theory and practice. Although I studied this subject in school, I regret not paying enough attention to it and not learning it thoroughly. Now that the company is giving me another chance to learn, I told myself that I must seize this rare opportunity to study hard.

Under the careful and patient guidance of my colleagues in various departments, I listened attentively to every class and took detailed notes. After class, I completed my assignments promptly, and when I encountered something I didn't understand, I would ask my teachers with humility. Now I can apply the knowledge I have learned to actual production, and I feel a sense of happiness from my achievement. As the book "Kan Shi" says, "Make yourself love what you do." Therefore, I didn't want to miss any class, afraid that I might miss out on learning something. My serious attitude during this learning process resulted in a lot of gains. Unconsciously, ten class hours came to an end. In order to get good grades in the examination, I have been reviewing carefully and not letting up at all. After the examination, I was pleasantly surprised, as I did quite well. This was the result of the careful guidance of my colleagues in various departments and my own efforts. From this, I have come to realize that, whether in learning or work, we should strive for perfectionism to motivate ourselves.
